About Us At Nitro Soft Plastics

My name is Trevor Mead, and I am thirty-seven years old. I live in Lowville New York with my wife and three kids, and I am currently working at Walmart. I have always lived in Lewis County and have loved camping and fishing. I have done it all my life. But I enjoy camping a different way than others, I don’t like to take food and a cellphone. Just a fishing pole, some fishing lures and me. One of my hopes is that my soft bait fishing lures will allow families to be able to make memories. One of my fondest memories was fishing with my parents and grandparents. Before my grandparents passed away, we would always go bullhead fishing.

We had our favorite fishing spots we went to.

These are memories that will last forever with me, and that is what I want. Another memory I have is when I caught my 20 pound catfish with my parents on my first boat I purchased, it was one of the best days of my life.

This is why I wanted to start a business that I could be proud of and love. And I LOVE all things fishing. I have always wondered what I was born to do. I want to be able to leave behind a legacy for my children. I worry that my name will fade off after I pass, this will allow me to leave behind something I can be remembered by. Starting a business has been not only interesting, but I am also learning a lot about business along the way. 

Managing my time has been hard

Learning to manage my time between a full-time job, my family, Nitro Soft Plastics, and still having time to fish has been an obstacle but something I’m learning. I take a lot of pride in my fishing lure business. Being able to hand make each fishing lure means I can make sure each soft bait tackle is made perfect for the customer. Make as many memories as you can, and always remember… Tight lines.
